Salim Aleemuddin Karimi

Mr. Salim Aleemuddin has been associated with us since 1989. During the starting period he was actively participating in activities of the organization but now he is engaged as non executive director because of his full time association with OPP-RTI.
He completed his Diploma of Associate Engineer in Civil Technology from Karachi and then went for his graduation from NED University of Engineering and Technology. After completing his graduation in Architecture he further studied Urban Planning and completed his M.Sc. in it from Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok. He joined OPP under research and training program as researcher in 1989 and within 03 years he was appointed as joint director OPP-RTI. He is also serving as director in Research and Training Institute (RTI), and Urban Research Centre (URC). He has vast experience of planning and designing of sewerage infrastructure for low income settlements. He has published many manuals, visual aids, and case studies and has assisted national and international researchers. He had participated in formulating a feasibility study for construction of Expressway over Lyari River. He has served as co-supervisor for conducting socio-economic surveys of 1200 households for this purpose. He has also worked as investigator of Raasta Development Consultants on NGO registration. This project was supported by Agha Khan Foundation. In addition to above he has also served as faculty member of Dawood College of Engineering and Technology under the department of Architecture and Planning
